Autumn/Winter Makeup Trends 2012
The nights are starting to draw in and summer is nearly over. As a makeup artist in Manchester I’ve been busy advising clients on how to make subtle changes to their make up looks to be bang on trend for this A/W 2012. Here’s a few top make up trends…
1: Focus on defined and full eyebrows
This make up look is all about playing down your eye make up and lips. Really emphasis your brows, use smooth strokes with a brow pencil and deepen the depth of the colour using brow powder. Pay particular attention to the arch of the brow.
2: Smokey Eyes
Always a favourite look of mine, blend a grey eyeshadow across the lower lid and into the corner of the eye. Blend to the outer corner and over the eye socket with a highighter. You can be creative and add extra colour to the eyes using a midnight blue or an emerald green. Be sure to keep blending until you can’t see where the shades of eye shadow meet. Then add a matt nude lipstick and keep your brows natural.
3: Gothic Lips
Create a beautiful flawless make up base, use a concealor brush to be precise when covering any blemishes or pigmentation. Add a deep berry lip colour, creating a stain with a lip brush and apply in the same direction. Use a lip liner the same shade to create structure and make a bold statement.
I could go on and on, those are the key Autumn and Winter 2012 make up trends so I’ll finish there, thanks for reading! x x
